I just signed up too. With this site alone they'll have a big group. I have a chemistry background, but I actually don't know too much about the organic and biological processes, so i'm looking forward to learning about those. Wouldn't mind helping any fellow brewers out with some the basic chemistry concepts if anyone wanted help. See you all in cyber class!

It has been more than 30 years since my last organic chemistry course but I'll try to muddle through if only to get a look at the LMS.

 

Oceantendency just signed up ! Yeah I deal with Radioactive PET Tracers, so use to all the radioactive chemistry stuff, so this should be slightly easier and def more fun in it's practicality

This looks good. I certainally remember that when I was in college I taste tested many a beer in my day. Now I can learn a little about what I love so much.

On the plus side I am currently getting an A in a 3000 level biochem course. Glycolysis? I've got pages of handwritten mechanisms. Pretty good understanding already in place.

Bad thing is I don't know how much time I can put into it with my own classes next semester. Clinical chemistry, hematology, molecular bio, and lab management. But we will see. Maybe I will work on it when I'm procrastinating, instead of cleaning the house like I do now...

Just signed up. Username: livefreeandbrew. I don't really have a chemistry background but it's free and I'm sure I'll get something out of it.

 

Just signed up with the username Bigscience. I enjoyed biochem in school, not so much o-Chem so this should be fun. About 12 years ago I did 3 quarters of online brewing classes at University of Wisconsin Madison (I think) and really enjoyed it. I was looking to freshen up but it doesn't look like they offer them anymore so this is perfect. Free this time too. I think it was $150/quarter last time.
