    Those pictures are hilarious. I don't think I'd let my beer or wine get anywhere near those bottles..haha.

    soak them in oxyclean, and you'd be fine

    What is OxyClean? I don't believe that my LHBS has it. They has something called Straigh-A, which I use as a soap/detergent. Is that the same thing?

    Get OxyClean at Wal-Mart, or your grocery store. Save some money for ingredients.

    Wait, wait....oxyclean is just as good as the stuff they have at my LHBS? Doesn't it have some detergent in it?

    It's a heavy-duty cleaner... you rinse it off entirely and then sanitize. I use OxyClean and then use StarSan.

    +1 on that combo, that's what I use and it's great! Dirty carboy's are no match for teh oxyclean!
