Just curious what people have for sparge rates. My rates change depending on the batch size: 6 gal = 45 min; 10 gal = 70 min; 15 - 20 gal = 90 minutes. It would be nice to shave off some time with shorter sparges, but I want to keep as high efficiency as i can.

    Thoughts.

I pretty much stick to ~5 gal, and the best "happy medium" for my setup is about 30-35min. I can stretch it out to 45+ and squeak out a little more but not much, however less than 30 the efficiency suffers exponentially.

I only do 10's and 70-80 mins. is right where I'm at and I usually get 84% efficiency. I want to speed it up too, but always chicken out.

Depends on the system I guess but for a 6 gallon batch I'll sparge for about an hour if I'm really lazy. I'll double it for a 12 gallon batch but usually speed it up after 90 minutes since it's mostly water anyway. PH is already set so I don't worry much.
