Ok I have a full size fridge but it doesn't get cold, anyway to fix this and what would be some of the possible causes of this?

    Anyone know?

    Thanks:fro:

Check to see if the fan and coil are clean. If air is moving freely than it is usually a leak in the system somewhere. Have you noticed the temp getting warmer over time (last couple months or weeks) or did it happen all at once?

If it was unplugged for awhile, turn it on its head for 24 hours and then give it a try. The oil pools and then the compressor has a hard time starting it. By standing it on its head you redistribute the oil and take the pressure off the compressor.

Check the frezer fan ... mine went out, and the ice maker stopped , even though the compressor kicked in regularly ... I replaced it with an old stereo cooling fan, and now I have ice, but the refrige isn't as cold as it should be ...
