I've been lurking here for few weeks reading and learning.
My first brew is now carbed and drinkable......and actually tastes very good.

I started with a Cooper's Bitter kit (LME & yeast) and used dextrose (I know:eek:). The result is something I would brew again.(I'm on my 4th 500ml bottle now)

I reduced the volume to 19 L to fit my fermenter so it may be a bit less thin than it could have been, and I fermented it at a fairly cool temp. (19-20 C)
I am now hooked on brewing.
My next batch is light LME, amber DME, cascade hops and muntons ale yeast. It will be ready to bottle Friday.:mug:
    Thanks for all the information.
