I lost my beer room in our move, and so I get a fermentation chamber out of the deal.

Of the few things I've read about a build I seem to like this one:

Any that are better? Any mods to what he has done?

Is a heater necessary if it's kept indoors? I don't see how it could get cooler than mid 60's indoors and need heat.

I like the cheaper idea of a 60w bulb rather than a space heater. Do the 13w equivalent bulbs put out enough heat for this?

I intend to install wheels to mine so moving it will be much easier.

I have a small clamp on fan for casting lead bullets that doesn't push enough air. I'm thinking of using it, though a clamp on fan might be nice at my work bench. Does anyone know of an inexpensive fan other than a computer fan? I'm guessing it doesn't need to be big or powerful.

    Waiting for my HomeDepot day!

So I have found a 7 cu ft chest freezer at HomeDepot that is just under $200 on sale now. This would have to be by far the cheaper way to go it seems, and measuring a bucket I brew 6 gal batches in I'm thinking I can get 3 in it.

I'm wondering if the freezer's temp probe could just be wired in in place of using the STC-1000's probe. Anyone do this? Without the thermal mass of chilled water how large of a temp difference would there likely be if I kept it 60* in the chamber?

I'm also wondering how I can install this so that it can be easily removed in case I need to use the warranty. I.e. I need it to be virtually unmodified. However I would like it to look nice.
