I have a chair in my kitchen on which I like to sit while watching SWMBO cook dinner <duck>.

Every time I get up to refill my beer, my Russell girl jumps right up onto my seat and just looks at me like "This is my seat!"

My aussies don't chew "that much". They can rip through some rawhide in a short time, but they are not what I'd call "dedicated chewers". I whip out the femurs when they are unruly or too noisy when I have visitors, with a heaping tablespoon of peanut butter, they'll lick+chew those femurs for an hour at a time.

Rukka is an internationally exported Finnish brand of dogs accessories. Shouldn't be a problem to find it in USA.

Hehe, where on earth did you find those prices?

That jacket, brand new, cost between 43 and 49 EUR (tax included). Postage to USA probably 10-20. Hit me up with PM if you want me to send you one.

hilma loves her fluffy dog toy, my wife's old waterbottle toy, and the only one that survives her chewing habit.

My mother came over to hang out with my wife and puppy over the weekend while I was gone. After a half dozen beers while I'm at a bachelor party, I get this picture from my mom:

Frog dog. My 165 lb 8 1/2 yo Leo sleeps like that and has done so since he was a puppy. I don't know how he bends that way. The other one, 4yo, sleeps on her back with her feet up in the air. Can't imagine that's comfortable either, But it must be.

This is Tully - we think he's an Aussie Shepherd / Belgian Malinois mix.
He was a street dog and gets nervous when I start moving big things around or making noises, so he doesn't make the best brew dog, but he's great on hikes and I love him regardless.

I am sure you've been asked this before, so pardons if it's an annoyance - but what breed of dog is that? They are quite striking.

Eventually he'll figure out he's bigger than our Boston that likes to take over the bed...maybe. :p

Here are mine. The far right is Dylan, the middle is Reed (we adopted so Dylan would have a friend) and the pibber on the left is Ramona (whom Dylan and Reed found running free in Brooklyn as a puppy).

The girl is a 3 year old English Bull dog and the old man is 12 year old Yellow Lab. They are very serious about the Kong toys.

Love all the Molossoid dogs but I'm almost afraid to ask what "ancient" means for a Berner.

As for pensive, in truth he is probably wondering if the iPhone is edible.

16 years young on December 27. He has defied the odds and may be a freak of nature. Each time we think he is winding down (right now for instance) he bounces back and starts kicking his brothers and sisters butts.

Edit: He is also the most clever and tenacious dog I have ever had. He moves refrigerators to get a carrot and drug an ezup canopy with with 4 40# spare tires attached to it...50'...one harrumph at a time to get to the Bacon man at the race track.

Yep. Adopted him at 11 to give him one good last year. Dropped 22 #'s in that year and started a second puppyhood about half the way through. Been my best pal for a few years now. Our newest adoptee, a 7-year old Saint Benard is working her way into that place for when Wally has to go.

He is now occasionally loosing control of his rear legs but my (elderly dog specialist) vet has said it is honestly not even worth xraying at this point as a dog of his age...what are you going to do? It is obviously neurological but his odds of surviving anesthesia are about 20%. Even then, the arthritis and ankle calcification means he could loose mobility at any time.

All that said, I have a realistic list of quality of life items that if any are no longer met, it is time for he big sleep. He has been on the cusp of a couple of them...then he bounces back like nothing ever happened.
