Planning to build a Mashtun but am contemplating between a copper manifold or a braided pipe for the inside. Anyone have any recommendations between the two? Any help would be appreciated

I built mine originally with the braided line and had issues with it collapsing resulting in a stuck sparge. I ended up putting a piece of copper pipe with slits cut inside the braid. Have not had a problem since.

Another way to reinforce the braid is with 18 ga. stainless wire. Use a pencil and form a coil around the length. You then insert this coil (less pencil) on the inside of the braided line before you install the end plug. I found stainless wire on Amazon but I think many hobby/craft stores may carry it.
