I read somewhere on HBT that the gas and liquid poppits on corny kegs are different somehow and that you shouldn't get them mixed up. I'm wondering how do you tell them apart, and what happens if you get them reversed?

maybe I do mean posts. I just remember reading "when you put the keg back together, don't mix up the gas and liquid sides" or something to that effect. I'm just trying to figure out if there is indeed a difference, or if the posts/poppits are interchangeable.

This might help. You don't want to get them mixed up because if you do it's hard to get the disconnect off

Yup, 241 has a nice picture above. The gas posts have a notch/slit in them.
