I have a recipe for a dark pilsner with the following ingredients:

    Briess pilsen light malt extract
2 pounds of rice syrup solids
    crisp black patent grain
    warrior bittering hops
    saaz flavor hops
    saaz aroma hops
    german ale kolsch liquid yeast

I happen to have some Bries golde light malt extract available.

Would the addition of the pound of bries light malt extract do any good or do any bad to this ale.

    Thanks

What is the final volume you are shooting for?

Well adding 1 lb of DME will raise the OG about 9 pts in 5 gal, giving about 1% increase in ABV (LME a little less), but it's hard to give complete advice without the entire recipe or specs on the beer. For example we don't know how big the beer is, or how bitter. Adding just fermentables without adjusting hop additions can change the balance or intent of the original beer. Whether that's "good" or "bad" depends on the original recipe and what you're after.
