I was looking at the Criterion freezers at Menards. I noticed that the manual says that if the unit loses power that you have to wait 3 to 5 minutes to restart it, or it won't run. Is this common, and would it be an issue with a Randco ETC? It seems like if it cycled too soon for some reason that it would never actually run unless the ETC was shut off. Thanks

It will be a show-stopper with a Ranco single or dual stage ETC because neither one has a short-cycle prevention mechanism. As soon as the Ranco gets power it's going to respond to the temperature immediately...

    Cheers!
