I was curious as to what I was going to get with such an non-specific list and am thrilled with what weirdboy sent up I-5. Every brew is new to me and I really appreciate the thought that went into picking them out.

The Smog City grower is filled with <S>Chipshot</S> Groundwork Coffee Porter
Wierdboy's homebrew Sour Broun with Burbon
    Modern Times Black House
The Bruery Oude Tart & White Chocolate

I had a minor panic when there the box arrived with a brown stain but fortunately the growler was just seeping a little. What seeped out smells great and I can't wait to try it tomorrow when we return to normal Seattle spring weather from our week with highs in the 80s.

Blizzard - FYI - Mile High Wine and Spirits in Belmar (Wads and Alameda) is carrying Westbrook now. They didn't have any Gose, but there was One Claw and White Thai as of last weekend. According to the guy at the checkout, they plan on carrying it full time.

Your welcome! Shopping for other people is fun and I enjoyed the self imposed constraint of sending out local brews.

FYI Rainier Beer was the dominant local brewery in Seattle before craft brewing exploded here, it's what my parents drank, but it's just BMC. I think Pabst owns the brand now and has Miller contract brew for them. The brewery was a local landmark just South of downtown and is now rehearsal spaces and storage units. Rainier had some of the best TV advertising when I was a kid and they're on youTube now.

The Theo's chocolate is made in what was Redhook's first production brewery in Fremont after they move out of the converted gas station a few blocks away in Ballard where they started brewing.

If you uncrumble the newspaper you might find Savage Love in it's native publication.

That growler is sick, and must have cost the brewery a fortune for all those graphics. Great to see the small guys going big.

FYI the growler is actually Groundwork Coffee Porter, or at least that was what I asked for when I got it. I had forgotten that the guy just wrote "coffee porter" on there and that there might be some confusion as to which coffee porter.

I will also add that they have a whole bunch of barrels all over the brewery now with various sours aging in them. So, I expect some very interesting and tasty sours to start showing up in another few months.

Thanks to all for the condolences, it has been a rough week and I am glad it is over.

The rum and rye aged stouts were both marked on the bottom. Thanks for pointing that out fijigus, I didn’t think to look at the bottoms of the cans.

NateLTB, I will be sure to report back on the homebrews I am planning to drink them this weekend (I would be drinking them now but with everything going on I didn’t get a chance to put them in the fridge until just a few minutes ago.). Thanks again for the awesome package.
