Did some searches, found nothing. Can I substitute corn syrup for the powdered to use for priming? Have a bottle hanging around for years and would like to put it to good use.

    OH! yes!
Been using Karo Corn Syrup for priming with really good results.
I can get better carbonation in my bottles than powder corn syrup. I also can find it at any supermarket. There's no LHBS around here.
I use it at 1 oz/gallon. So for 5 gallon batch I use 5 oz of corn syrup.

I know it's been 2 years since this post, but karo is a staple of my family's heritage...My Dad and I boiled some in the wort years ago, which didn't seem to get the results we were looking for, but in my endeavors I will definitely experiment and find out what happens! Thanks again!
