Cork/stopper into wort!

    Just about done, I smacked the cork onto the fermenter too hard and it went almost into the wort. I took my favorite very sharp knife and tried to get the cork and ended up with the cork AND the knife in the wort!!!!!

    I am worried of course that I will "infect" my wort with the knife which was unsanitized.

    I ended up pouring the wort out into a sanitized brew pot, fetched knife and cork, then re-sanitized the fermenter and went back to the drawing board.

    You'll be fine.

    My dog dropped a bone in my wort before and it turned out great.
