I'm using some dark malt for the first time this weekend. Actually, I'm separating the dark malt and cold steeping it... so it won't actually be part of the mashing process.

Anyway, generally I condition all my malt prior to milling to help reduce husk damage, but I wasn't sure if this was appropriate with dark malt.

Anyone know if it's appropriate to condition dark malts?
