I force carb both but I am wondering about the possibility cross contamination.
If I use a dual regulator with one side to a beer and the other to the kombucha is the an issue? Can the beer be contaminated by bacteria in the kombucha? I guess the check valves should keep this from happening.

Yes, keeping the check valves in the lines should keep it from happening.

I have no qualms about kegging sour beers, kombucha, or even wine with the same regulator. Of course, you want to keep it from backflow to avoid ruining your regulator in any case and I've never had an issue.

I do keep the serving lines and taps totally separate as they are not interchangeable, but the gas lines are fine.

OK. Good the hear. I will carb up my bucha today.

What about ball lock kegs? Still good for kegging beer after a thorough clean/sanitize?

I figure the stainless should be no problem.

    Thanks

I would assume that you'd also want to change out the o-rings on the inside on the poppets and that could be a pain. I would keep one keg for bucha/sours only. I don't mind changing out the other o-rings, but getting those rubber parts back inside the spring is a pain.
