I am having a problem with my beer clearing up lately. I had a few that didn't clear before, but now it seems like all I make has a cloudy look to it. I have recently started to do 10 gallons batches, not sure if that is part of the problem. Also I noticed that the super Irish moss I am using hardened so much I had to chip it out of the container, this could be another problem. Everything else that I am doing, I also did with 5 gallon batches.
    Any help would be appreciated.

If you aren't able to get a good cold break because of the extra wort volume that would definitely make a difference between your 5 and 10 gallon batches. Have you tried fining with gelatin? It makes a huge difference for me. I have also found that irish moss works much better when added at 10 minutes instead of 15.

    Can you cold crash?

Also, I switched from Irish Moss to Whirlfloc some time ago and still have some unused Irish Moss sitting in my fridge. Love the Whirlfloc.

After you have chilled, do you cover the kettle and let your wort settle 15-20 minutes? That would help as well.

Possibly I need to shorten my pick up tube from the bottom of my keggle. It could very well be that I am adding that much more crap, for lack of a better word, to my fermenter. I would have the problem with 5 gallon batch for the first few beers I poured, but now it is staying to the end.

If the beer tastes good, you can also just use a ceramic cup.

How are your ferments going? I notice that if I don't pitch enough yeast it seems to take longer to clear out.

I agree with less chilling capacity with the bigger batch sizes, but one other thing may be less heating capacity from your burner. If your wort doesn't heat up as fast and your boil isn't as strong, you're not getting as good of a hot break which is an often overlooked factor in beer clarity.
