    I have used good quality imported chocolate bars tossed in a blender, but the flavor was REAL subtle. I just tried a Palmetto Porter that is superb and I want that level of flavor in my brews.

    So, I was wondering which grains or combination of grains produce that chocolate flavor.

    I get a lot of lighter chocolate flavor from Chocolate Wheat. Chocolate Malt is chocolatey but also kind of nutty.

    Thanks Kickass. Good info based on a quick look see. I'll look it over better when I get time.
    It seems that where I was shopping said it was used for color not flavor. They also said it had a roasted coffee flavor. Looks like Midwest Supply just got a new customer.

    Mullenite;
    I’ll try that. Thanks.

    Dang guys…

    My head is now spinning from ALL the possibilities I found on that one site. Their info is so much better than what I have been looking at.

    I now want to start creating my own recipes and not just finding one SOMEONE else likes.

    Thanks for filling ALL my free time for a while. (I think!)
