    That depends on your idea of what's best... Quickest? Easiest / least need to tweak? Least use of bottled CO2?

    What I typically do these days is keg the beer, then put it on 20-25 PSI for 2-3 days. After that, stop the gas going to the keg, vent it, and drop the pressure to serving pressure (I usually maintain about 12PSI). You can go even higher on the pressure (lots of people hit 30PSI regularly) for an even quicker carb.

    You can also just pressurize the keg at serving pressure and wait ~2 weeks. This is what I used to do all the time, and still do when carbing an "on-deck" keg. With this method, there's no need to adjust pressure or purge the keg, so it's probably the easiest.
