I came across a web site that sells 1 yr hop starts and saw calicross hops. I was wondering if anyone has heard of them and are they a bittering, aroma flavor or dual purpose hop. Thanks.

Are they brewing hops or purely ornamental hops?

I think they are brewing hops(they are described as hoppy), every other hops they sell are for brewing. For what I can find it seems like they came from New Zealand, but that is all the info I can find

Calicross is a variety yhat is no longer used commercially because there are newer types with far better traits and yields. I trialed it a couple years ago- it was mediocre in every category- yield, disease resis., aroma, storage. So many better choices!
