How is Brew Your Own Magazine? Worth it?

I love it. Definitely worth it, in my opinion. They have some great articles and recipes. I like Zymurgy, too, which you get by being a member of the American Homebrewers Association.

Yep, only did 1 BYO recipe so far (Ruthless Rye from the Sierra Nevada issue) but it was fantastic. Also can pick up all kinds of tidbits in articles.

It is a great homebrewing magazine. Lots of top notch informative articles by some of the movers and shakers in the homebrewing industry, usually accompanied by nice full color pics. Lots of how to articles and issues featuring multiple articles on single homebrewing topics.........like a recent issue on Base Malt.
They also have a great website with much info available. And you have the option of getting your magazine all digital if desired or both hard copy and digital or just hard copy. If you get the digital edition they give you access to all archives of past magazine articles going way back.
If you look around the various discount magazine sites you will most likely find discount pricing for a years sub.
They offer to send you a free issue if you want to try it out. Not sure if you have to unsub if you don't want the mag at that point or not. Info is available on their website.
If you are a homebrew club you can contact them about a group sub purchase which is very resonable compared to the regular pricing.

    Try it........you will like it.

If you get the trial you have to unsubscribe if you want them to not charge you. It's worth I though. I scanned a few of my issues if you want to check them out

+1 on having to cancel. They sent me 3 issues. My last letter was fairly nasty. I'm sure it will work its way out

I think it's a good mag for the reasons already stated. I had a glitch with ordering from midwest,as many of us did when they moved their warehouse. So they sent me "Best of BYO's 250 Classic Clone Recipes",a $10 magazine extra for free. It has a ton of recipes from their usual magazine. Plus all the tech stuff in the monthly one is worth it. Wife was gunna get it for me.
