Purchased lots of brew equipment for my fiance for Christmas, but didn't get a burner yet since I didn't have time to do much research on those...guess the burner will be a Happy New Years gift? lol

Would like to be able to do a full boil, and from browsing some of the threads it looks like most people go with the Bayou Classic brand...

Any particular recommendations for which model? or is there another brand I should consider that I haven't looked at.

    Thanks in advance!

Get him a Blichmann Top Tier Burner, it is all stainless, built like a tank, will last for many years of brewing.

+1 IMO, this is one of the best all around burners for your average home brewer making 5-12 gallon batches and it would probably easily handle even more than that. You can order it online and sometimes with free shipping: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0009JXYQ4/?tag=skimlinks_replacement-20 I have one and it's my favorite of the three that I have. You can't go wrong with this one.
