OK, I picked up a keg and plan to make a keggle. Does anyone have a step by step plan to build a keggle? Also, do you need to condition the keggle before you brew your first batch? If so, how so you so that? Thanks!!

A search in the DIY thread will yield copious results.

    1) Go to youtube and watch some videos of people converting kegs into keggles
    2) Cut hole in top or have someone do it for you
    3) Buy a keg weldless ball valve kit and a 7/8" step bit
    4) Pop a hole in the side for the ball valve
    5) Make a dip tube out of some copper pipe and fittings
    6) Order a sight glass / thermometer combo
    7) Install the sight glass / thermometer
    8) Check to see if everything is water tight
    9) Calibrate sight glass
    10) Make beer
