I imagine you'd figure out how to ferment practically anything under the sun. All you need is a source of simple sugars, right?

No TV and the inevitable loss of "the internets" would leave me craving a drink at some point.

    Is that so WRONG?;)

Absolutely not... loss of the internet and TV will suck, no doubt, but not having power to listen to music and not being able to take books with you when you evacuated (since they would slow you down)... that would make it even worse.

When the power goes out, I know I can just put on my ipod and read. But when Z-day arrives, the power is never coming back on. Of course, you'll be able to avoid boredom for the first couple of years by shooting zombies. But after that, the horde will start to thin out and disperse. Then you'll have to worry about going stir crazy. If you don't have some way to get some music going and have a few drinks, it's gonna suck.

Good point. An acoustic guitar will also be a must, as well as 30 or so sets of strings.;)

Oh, yeah. I'd definitely be looting the music store before the outbreak gets out of hand.

My set of Bocce balls and Croquet set could double as blunt weapons, so I would manage to take them as well, however heavy.

    ;)
