Does anyone use the Water Chemistry Calculator? If so, what exact volume is supposed to be intered in the 1. Water volume (pre-boil): section? I may be overthinking it. But is it the water volume right before you begin your boil or you Total water volume. ie, mash + sparge. Thanks.

I don't use that calculator but the pre-boil volume generally refers to the amount of wort in the pot when you start the boil. This will be smaller then the total water used during the mash + sparge.

That's the one I use. You really don't need to know anything about water chemistry to use this calculator. It's very E Z :D
