I Brewed my first beer yesterday. It was a Nut Brown Ale Extract kit from Northern Brewer. It smelled great while boiling and i tried it bit before pitching the yeast and the wort tasted great too. I Will be posting on the taste when its completely done and condition in the bottles.

I've got a similar recipe brewing from Midwest, hopefully it'll be a tasty summer brew!

You sound just like me! My first kit was the Nut Brown from NB. I think it turned out great. My only advice would be to give it time in the bottle. I drank half of mine in the first two weeks which was a big mistake. It really got better after 3 weeks. Rookie mistake

I've got the Chinook IPA from NB in secondary now and the hydro sample I tasted was promising. If you're interested in an IPA I'd recommend the Chinook or the Three hearted clone.

LOL I just bought the Chinook IPA from NB like a minute ago, it was their cheapest IPA and it also had great reviews. Im running low on cash though, i spent a lot of my tax return money on my first kit. The deluxe starter kit. My first brew is only one day into fermentation and I already bought a second extract kit HAHA. I hope it turns out great. If anyone has any more advice on the Nut Brown Ale or on the Chinook IPA, I would greatly appreciate it
