    Inside Passage Ale from Boundary Bay Brewery. Sooo tasty and so hard to find. Anyone have a recipe or even any info about it? i'd like to try to brew this one but I can't even find anything about the IBU's, abv, or hops involved.

    All the website says is:

    A strong pale ale, highly hopped but still balanced. It is also now available on tap in an Imperial variety. Original Gravity 1.059

    This is certainly a good beer. I guess the question is what do they consider "highly hopped" for a 1.059 OG beer?

    Has anyone found a clone recipe for the Boundary Bay IPA. The BB website does not give a lot of info.

    I was at the brewery last week, Hops growing on their front entrance, sampled each beer and spoke with the people there. Still like their IPA the best
    This particular beer has changed over it's growth. Their beer menu (I had to ask for this special menu showing legit beer info) which has the specifics. I am sure any moderately experienced homebrewer who has tasted Boundary's IPA can make up a good clone from this below.
    Boundary's Info is in RED BOLD
    OG=1070 no info of FG=guessing 1015 @ 7%ROH
    Pale 2 row, Cara, Crystal, Vienna: ( I would call it 75% 2-Row, 10% Cara, 10% Crystal 20 and 5% Vienna)
    WOW= Simcoe, Amarillo, Centennial, Cascade, Crystal.
    (They would not give me an IBU but I got a ballpark of 60-70)
    I would hop this one with a 60-30-15-5 minute addition with plenty of back tongue bitterness and upfront, possibly thinking of swapping Simcoe and Crystal with Columbus and a higher AA with the same profile because this beer is BIG.. Gotta plug it into beertools..
    Color= they call it "honey amber" I call it 10-11 SRM.
    Cheers friends.. My first POST!

    Great first post! I've missed their IPA since moving from the PNW. I might have to take a stab at this in the near future. Let me know how your's turns out.

    Cheers!

    I definitely think this is one of the best IPAs around the NW. I'd love to find out more about the recipe too. Great stuff!

    Their Ski to Sea ESB is also one of the best American ESBs I've ever had...and it took Gold at the North American Beer Awards. Definitely try this one if you have a chance.
