Blichmann Shelf Tier

I recently upgraded my Top Tier system to use three burners. Does anyone have a good use for the Shelf Tier that I used to use? The stand only comes with enough support struts for three tiers, making the Shelf Tier now useless.

 

from what I understand, they only rate the stand for a certain amount of weight and adding a fourth tier presents a liability problem, thus you cannot obtain additional struts for the fourth tier.

I have a top tier with three burners that came with an additional shelf. No idea what to do what that shelf either.
