Black IPA Recipe Help

    This is my first attempt at a Black IPA and really am excited about it. This is a recipe I came up with, and any input would be great. Thank you.

    12 lbs 2-row
    1 lb carafa III dehusked
    1 lb crystal 40
    .5 lb Munich

    18g Magnum at 60
    28g Simcoe at 15
    28g Amarillo at 15
    28g Simcor at 5
    28g Amarillo at 5
    28g Amarillo at 0
    28g Simcoe dry hop for 7 days
    28g Amarillo dry hop for 7 days

    Wyeast 1272
    Mash at 154 for 75 min
    OG 1.060
    FG 1.014
    31 SRM
    59 IBU
    6 gal Batch

    Personally I would bump the gravity up into the high 60's low 70's and bump up the ibu a little. I like a bit of chocolate malt in mine as well. I think the Carafa III is key and I do like your use of Munich in the grain bill, I have always had good luck with Munich in IPA's.

    My Black IPA recipe is below for comparison.
