    I have a feeling this may be a long shot, but here goes nothing: any chance a fellow hbt member lives in Bellingham, WA and has a water report they could share with me?

    I have searched the internet and contacted the city to no avail. I'd love to pay more attention to my water but don't know my current mineral levels.

    Help me Obi wan kenobi

    If you don't get a response, you might give Eric a buzz and tell him you're a homebrewer wanting the most recent water analysis. 15 years ago, this was hard to get from municipal water systems, but nowadays they get these questions all the time!

    Great thanks. I tried calling the city but maybe I need to be more persistent.

    It can be a pain, but they are required to provide it on request. Mentioning the Freedom of Information Act might get better results, but only as a last resort...

    You could talk to the brewers at Boundary Bay and ask if they have it. I used to work there, and I can tell you they are very friendly and would be happy to share the info if they have it. You could also talk to the guys at North Corner brew supply, I'd be surprised if they didn't know.

    Good idea on north corner, I spend way too much money there so hopefully he can help.

    I live in Bham as well and am trying to get the report as well. If and when I do, I will post it on http://www.brewersfriend.com/homebrew/water-profiles/ and maybe save the next guy looking some time. It is hard to believe I cannot find any info on our water online..

    Like I said, not sure how accurate it is. The guy at the shop said it was kinda old.

    I did receive a Bellingham water report, it has everything except individual levels of Ca and Mg. Once I have these I will post an update here.

    I got an answer on Ca and Mg. Less then 10ppm Ca and Mg should be significantly lower than 10ppm. I was told this is data from 15 years ago and probably did not change since then. All other data is avg for the last year as follows-
    PH=8.8
    Alkalinity=29ppm as CaCO
    Iron=.01ppm
    Hardness 22.9ppm as CaCO
    Free Chlorine Residual-.19ppm
    Chloride=3.8ppm
    Sulfate=6.9
    Sodium=7.5
    No2/No3=.31
    This water is very close to Pilsen profile water... I'm not complaining at all.
