Does running soda particularly root beer ruin beer lines? I heard that using that beer line after running rootbeer through itnwill impart a rootbeer flavor to the beer? Anyone know if this is true?

The simple answer is yes but it may depend on the type of material/plastic that the lines are made from. I have a special beer line (3/16 inch diameter and 30 feet long) that I hook up for serving rootbeer. The reason for the extra length is that my sodas are usually under 40 psi of pressure.
