Is there a good recipe for a clean session style blonde ale that would lend itself to being dry hopped, or hopped at flame out. Looking to brew 2 beers with one base wort. Then split into two fermenters. One smooth and drinkable, one hopped up to a mild IPA, I'm eager to try Citra.

Thanks all for the input, you all have been invaluable as I was in a panic at points throughout my first brew.

Centennial Blonde. Quite sessionable, a proven great recipe, and can be hopped up (check out the thread - lots of folks have done it).

/\ this. I just brewed 10 gallons. 5 straight up recipe. 5 gallons with a 1 oz dry hop after about 3 days in fermentation chamber. I like the extra hops. Plain was good... Especially for BMC drinkers. I like a bit more hops. Great recipe. Brew it and let us know.

Are you using hop pellets or dried hops?

If you mean dried whole hops then either one is going to be similar for dry hopping purposes. The whole hops will soak up a bit more liquid and the pellets will fall apart into flakes which may need cold crashed to drop them out before bottling/kegging, you can usually avoid them by racking carefully from below them, a mesh filter on the racking cane works also.

I am using more pellets than whole. It all depends on what I can get.
