Ball Lock Tap

for a while i wondered if people could bypass all the tubing and towers to just attach a tap to a keg. I came across this for 25 bucks

Itll be about 35 bucks shipped. Does anyone have experience making these? Could i make one of these with parts from my lhbs for cheaper?

 

Those are good for parties and such. But, your going to get a lot of foam unless you dispense with a very low PSI. Which, if you leave it that low, your beer will get flat.

You can also use epoxy stir sticks in your keg dip tube to give you a sweet pour - it mimics the resistance of a 10 ft beer line.
