    Ok, bad brewday planning.

Started a brew and realized I have to go to a football game in 2 hrs.

Y'all think it would be ok to cool to 100 then put in fermentation chamber overnight at 65 and pitch in am

Should be fine. I have done it before with no ill results.

I do this somewhat often actually when it's 100 degrees out and I forget to buy ice for the pre chiller. There's no way I can cool the wort with my immersion chiller to proper pitching temp when the water temp is close to 100. I just cool the wort to around 100 and throw the fermenter in my beer fridge at 65 degrees, then pitch in the morning. No problem.

If everything is sanitary this should work well.

Should be fine, especially since you are using a ferm chamber to cool the wort, less risk of bacteria getting the jump on you.

Thanks guys. SWMBO gave me mercy. I can stay home to finish the brew, but I have to clean the house. She took the kids w her too!

Time to sit back w a pipe first while the boil finishes.
