Apfelwein Yeast Question

    So I made a batch of Ed Wort's with Cotes Des Blancs because I'm impatient and the HBS was out of Montrachet.

    (1) Should I add a yeast nutrient? I am on day 7 and it is still bubbling away.

    (2) Does this bottle condition well? Will it carb okay with 3/4 cup dextrose?


    I know there have been several posts with people experimenting, but I haven't seen a reasonably conclusive answer.

    So I added yeast nutrient and krausen went everywhere before I could get the airlock back on. This was only 1 tsp (out of 2.5-5 recommended). Hopefully the air didn't do anything negative to the apfelwein.

    I guess I'll see about bottle conditioning.
