Plenty of info here (US version, anyway).

Not holding my breath about it being any good, but of course I'll give it shot and watch it when it comes out. It'll come down to two factors: 1. Will there be good chemistry between the hosts? 2. Will they be able to be as brutally honest and critical about judging cars and such (as NBC has claimed) or will they have to be polite lest they upset the commercial primetime sponsors or network? If the answer is no to both, it will be terrible and fail; yes to one of those, I think it could be decent; yes to both and we may really have something there!

Suck it and see, I guess. I think US TV is getting more brave in translating foreign shows lately. The US version of "The Office" was very good. I'm hopeful that they won't tinker too much with a succesful format on this occasion too. Adam Corolla will make an excellent presenter for the American version IMO. I'm looking forward to it!! :D

Adam is a huge car buff, but I think I'm going to probably favor the UK version, I love British humor...I get at least 75% only because I dunno some of their popular and famous people

I don't know the British celebs these days. When watching Brit shows I just substitute every name I never heard of with Paris Hilton, and it's always funny. ;)

The wife and I watch it every week. I'm always surprised at what she watches with me... I never would have thought she'd want to see a car program.

the reason top gear appeals to so many different people is because its more than a car show....im probably one of the biggest gearheads you'll ever meet but this is just good quality british comedy.

who wouldnt like to watch an hour of three guys driving piece of crap cars across the desert or turning cars into boats, etc.

    OLIVER!!!!!!!!!!!!

agreed, except that I think it got a bit too silly a couple series back when the turned a Reliant (the brit kind, not the k-car) into a space shuttle, and when they did target practice with that car launcher. Problem was, they wanted to remain a car show but their highest rated shows were the ones involving the least amount of car reviews and the most amount of "cocking about." I think they balanced out perfectly with the last two series, though. Plus the Polar Special, which was epic.

Are their "Stars in a Reasonably Priced Car" actual stars in Englad, or mostly B-Lister? I rarely recognize any of them or the shows/movies/etc they are pimping

I'm a huge fan of Top Gear- my most favorite recent episide was the one with Stig's Lorry-Driving Cousin where they had to buy 3 trucks, I never stopped laughing the entire episode.
