    I make widows of those who suffer the fall
    for them it's like a man in the mall
    during Christmas without any reason
    though not a holiday 'tis still the season
    only adults can play in my pool
    showing silly pride for the name of their school

    Tis the season when the weather cools down
    Sweat shirts adorned in my little town
    It's time for jeans and weiner roasts
    For friends and family I like that most
    For this there's a reason
    It's football season

    That was my first original one
    I liked the first line
    but perhaps it wasn't clever enough to be fun

    You guys are too funny,
    Or maybe I'm just a dummy.
    If I cannot find the question,
    How am I supposed to make a suggestion?

    Your rhymes send my eyes spinning
    And are causing my hair to start thinning.

    Even still,
    I will not give up!
    I have the will,
    And this thread fills my cup!
    I seek the thrill,
    Of you giving my answers a thumbs up!

    I feel this thread is giving my brain cells slight impunity.
    So while I wait for my opportunity,
    I hope to continue to read some more fancy.... rhymes...:mad:

    Now I must sit back and watch silently,
    Because as I said, I am out of my league.

    If I'm not sick, the first two lines sound like Moby Dick.
    And the rest could maybe fit...

    Aside from that spew, I really don't get it.
    It's possible that LRB is the best riddler yet.

    For the answer you might
    Listen up (but
    Use your sight)
    Keep your eyes near the margin of
    Each sentence I write

    that fits each line your a seeing
    I hope I don't get muzzle'd

    to be fair...tale should be tail

    I never laugh and never cry
    On the same spot I'm always found
    tolling away with little sound
    What am I?

    A windmill I guess With water would spray
    A nice lovely mist Right into your eyes
    As you look longingly Into the skies

    A great pick, a Maxi pad I think
    Just too bad it would probably stink!

    It was very clever and I am impressed.
    At the end I will post an original.
    Be kind, I did my best...

    H-ost, It's good to see you here.
    You are NOT out of your league have no fear.
    There are some smart fellers here no doubt.
    And so far they have not even kicked me out;)

    That's a give-away for anyone with half a mind.
    I think Dan hates to see anyone suffer.
    That post proves that he is very kind;)

    Yuck! lets change the subject.
    Let's think instead of a field of fresh ones a foot thick.
    At the edge, a keg of the best homebrew ever.
    Therein, we will all run, jump, drink and frolic...forever!

    So here's my homebrewed riddle (excuse the lack of rhyme...I couldn't afford the extra time) :

    I went in the woods and I got it.
    Many also get it in big cities.
    As hard as I try, I can’t get it in my backyard.
    Kids get it easy but it’s harder for adults.

    I was the first to die
    But now even odds I'll be the last alive
    Backwards, you heard,"Cranberry Sauce"
    But the Walrus was lost
    I paid an arm and a leg
    To get laid by a peg
    And nobody sings
    My songs on wings

    I'm very happy to see this thread doing well and feel pretty crappy that I might crash (in not a good way) the party.. Please feel free to kick me out and continue on.. Seriously.

    I have mixed feelings about what I'm going to post. Obviously I didnt' write it in the few minutes it took me to post.

    I'm going for broke. Hope you guys forgive me. Right now you're about the closest friends I have.

    This is a sincere post to the poetic genius’s who post on the "Anybody up for a Riddle?" thread and to all the good people on HBT.

    To my rhyming riddling friends:

    This is not a riddle or rhyme, more like a rant, no not a rant. I don't know the word for it.. A confession (?) I don't know?

    For me a chance to breath again and tell you something about me and the last 14 months.

    The HBT community's friendship and kinship have helped me
    In many more ways than you know or might see

    A while ago, it's been nearly a year and a half
    I was falsely accused of something; it was felony charges if you ask

    Seems in this anonymous internet web
    Maybe something’s are easier said

    But that's not where I am tonight
    Cause justice has prevailed and I'm feeling alright
    Dear law thank you for our legal rights
    Otherwise I'd be behind prison bars tonight

    A man is innocent until proven guilty
    That’s only a half truth cause if you have no money for bond
    You'll being sucking up water from a prison pond.

    Today is a new life for me and my family
    The last fourteen months, more going on than I show
    I'm just telling the truth to you bro's

    All of my life I've lived by one rule
    Don't judge others; it's pretty cool
    So why did I tell you anything at all?
    Today at 5:27 PM. My life has changed and I am in awe
    Because truth has prevailed and justice for all.

    Just want to forget this trying time and appreciate my family and our lives.

    Life

    Where are you going, Greatheart,
    With your eager face and fiery grace?
    Where are you going, Greatheart?

    "To fight a fight with all my might,
    For Truth and Justice, God and Right,
    To grace all Life with His fair Light."
    -Then God go with you, Greatheart!

    -Where are you going, Greatheart?
    "To beard the Devil in his den;
    To smite him with the strength of ten;
    To set at large the souls of men."
    -Then God go with you, Greatheart!

    -Where are you going, Greatheart?
    "To cleanse the earth of noisome things;
    To draw from life its poison stings;
    To give free play to Freedom's wings."
    -Then God go with you, Greatheart!

    -Where are you going, Greatheart?
    "To lift Today above the Past;
    To make Tomorrow sure and fast;
    To nail God's colors to the mast."
    -Then God go with you, Greatheart!

    -Where are you going, Greatheart?
    "To break down old dividing lines;
    To carry out my Lord's designs;
    To build again His broken shrines."
    -Then God go with you, Greatheart!

    -Where are you going, Greatheart?
    "To set all burdened peoples free;
    To win for all God's liberty;
    To 'stablish His sweet sovereignty."
    God goeth with you, Greatheart!
    -John Oxenham

    Freedom isn't free
    But it is worth the price
    I'm happy your getting toasted
    Instead of on ice

    Privacys a touchy matter
    In most folks melons
    It would make me mad as a hatter
    To be maybe considered a felon

    Even once your name is clear
    Being associated in folks minds
    May lead them to wonder
    Why might one have been charged with the crime

    Our buddy Dan is with us
    That we should celebrate
    The cause let's not press
    Afore it's too late

    In light of the circumstances i'm not going to try to rhyme...

    Dan, i am very glad to hear that you have been cleared of any false charges. As a man that has few friends, i value the ones i have. I also value the ones i've never met. So you being one of the later, good on you, and your family is in my thoughts.

    Now this being said, let's get back to mindless rhyming!
