Sorry, Ive gone thru about 30 different threads in the last couple hours and still cant figure it out. Im turning my chester freezer into a Keezer. I am hard wireing it instead of using an outlet. I already cut and spliced the wires going to the freezers thermostat. There were only 2 wires connected to the thermostat, (not counting the ground or probe). There is a power and also a wire that goes comes from the compressor. I know im supposed to connect #1 #7 and power together....I think atleast. Now what about the compressor wire? Does that just go to #8. What goes into stc1000 #2, the power neutral ?
    Any help would be appreciated.

All you really need to do is bring a hot wire to pin 1, a neutral to pin 2, then remove the two wires (that are not green/yellow) from the oem thermostat and wire them to pins 7 and 8.

Locate the probe intelligently, plug the line cord in, program the STC, done...

    Cheers!

You actually are (or would be).

If you look how the oem thermostat is wired, one side of its internal switch is connected directly to the hot side of the infeed.

The other side goes to two places - an indicator lamp, and the protector in front of the compressor. So, there may be a double-crimped pair of wires on that terminal - it's hard to see anything in those pictures.

If you picked the right wire - the single wire that leads back to the line cord - you could daisy-chain that wire from pin 1 to pin 7. Pin 2 still needs to go to the neutral wire from the line cord, while pin 8 goes to that lamp and protector...

    Cheers!
