I'm doing an American Stout this weekend:

    15 lbs American 2 Row
1 lb Black Roasted Barley 500L
    .75 lb Chocolate Malt 420L
    .75 lb Crystal 40L

    1.4 oz Horizon 14% AA
    1.0 oz Centennial 9% AA

I'm wondering what additions would go well with this malt and hop bill (perhaps some Chocloate?). I was thinking about chocolate and cherries, but I don't know how the cherries will blend with those potent american hops.

    Suggestions?

If you really want to add cherries to this, I would be relatively conservative with finishing hops to allow the cherry flavor to come through.

I'm thinking i may just go unsweetened cocoa powder.... chocolate and citrus work well together.
