Okay so I have put together this extract recipe for a belgian-style witbier I would like to make.

    2Kg LDME
    1.5Kg Coopers Wheat Extract
    600g Oats

    34g Hallertauer 60min
    13g Coriander 10min
    30g Orange Peel 5min

My question is, I only have a 12L boil pot so I would have to do a partial boil, should I boil the Coopers Wheat Extract? I was thinking of doing the hops and other additions in water and then add then at the end add the LDME and Wheat LME and Oats?

    Any advice would be welcome.

when i did late additions i would add 1/3 of all extracts at the begining, using the lightest extracts first. when you add your late addition add any remaining light extract and then the darker extracts. i usualy aded them about 15 min from flame out.

also, in the event that you have a dark dry extract and a light liquid extract, i would go with adding the dry stuff first, even if it is darker. liquid has already had the sh*t boiled out of it when they make it, so i always try to get it in the pot last.

Okay so you recommend boiling with the LDME and oats and then a few minutes before flameout add the liquid wheat extract.

You're going to need to steep the oats, you won't get any fermentables out of them but you will get some flavor and starch/protien. Steep them at around 154-155 for 30mins, then remove them and add your LDME. Bring to a boil and 10-15mins from the end of the boil add your Liquid Extract.
