I was searching the internet to find a reference to how alcohol content affects the hop bitterness, aroma and flavor in beer. Anyone have some concrete information on this?

I was looking to brew a session IPA (3-4% ABV) but was unsure if I should use the same amount of hops as a normal American IPA (5-7% ABV). Does this matter?

If no one has concrete info, I'll just brew it and find out.

Look up BU:GU (bittering units to gravity units ratio)

Thanks, logdrum. That answered my question. I wasn't familiar with the BU:GU ratio or even how to structure my query in google.
