    Morning.

Question: SWMBO and I are leaving on a cruise this weekend and flying into Ft. Lauderdale a day early. We're already planning a stop at Funky Buddha...are there any other notable breweries or beer bars in the area?

nah, too far. If anything I'd say take the drive to Cigar City, but it all really depends on time constraints

The Bahamas, Grand Turk and somewhere in the Dominican Republic...Amber Cove, I think. I've never been to any of them before.

We're really only in Ft. Lauderdale for Saturday afternoon/night, so we won't have a whole lot of time to kill. CCB is probably a bit too far away to drive, but I'll definitely try to find some places that have it on tap.

Nice man, have a good time. Its been a long while since I last was on a cruise. The vessels they are coming out with now are just monstrous and somewhat overwhelming. It was easy to get somewhat lost on the cabin levels when you were a bit tipsy...add a few more levels and triple the length of the ship and its just going to get messy

The engineers are playing russian roulette with gross jellybeans. I hope they ask me so I can just straight-faced, eat some dirty socks, vomit and toothpaste jellybeans and ask for more. As long as I can get past all the sugar, the flavors don't matter.

Having just got back from one... I can say that I could never do it again and not feel like I'm missing anything.

It wasn't awful like I'd anticipated, but I could certainly think of better ways to spend a week and several thousand dollars.

That was a ditry VHS case. There's a difference. If the actual tape rolls were exposed it would've made you beer the pride of the rock

Thanks, it should be fun. We've been on a couple cruises together. SWMBO's family did that as their family vacations for a long time, so she's been on a bunch and loves them. I'm a little more on the fence: I like how the food, lodging, etc. are all included, but it kinda sucks if you find a port you really love and want to stick around longer, you're still stuck to the ship's schedule if you don't want to get left behind. I also start to get antsy wandering around the ship around the 5th day.

At any rate, it's a week away from work, which I really need right now.

Also, flocc off. These damn heathens won't let me have this most religious of holidays off. I should be afforded the time to worship the Easter bunny however I see fit.

Gotcha. Yeah that's extreme weather up there. Here's a photo of where you were vs where I was. Everything above about where the word Sweden lays is about what people think of when they think of Norwegian weather. Everything below that is pretty temperate for the most part, unless you're high up in the mountains.

One great thing about this country formally having a state church: Thursday, Friday, Sunday, and Monday I make 233% my already ~$21/hr! Earning all that extra to go blow it on beer in Prague next weekend!
