I was thinking about a little Belgian SMaSH to answer this very question, mainly because small batches are basically my starter.

The infected Saison is all Nelson, but the grainbill is stacked.

 

Well I'm pretty sure the voss strain I got was not the voss strain TYB got. They and Lars both said it was highly flocculent, whereas a blonde I made with it didn't clear up after a couple of months of being in the fridge. Then I did a Christmas brown ale, and same thing. It just looked like mud because it was so opaque. Tasted as thick as well. So I gave up on it.

 

You're not the first to make that connection. I have more teeth and wear shirts.

 

I can't tell which thread is witch now so.. I'm going to go drink all the beers. Have safe drives home.
