Exercise will help a lot. Ours was nuts as a puppy and he would find trouble if he didn't get enough. He chewed open a pen at some point, walked through the ink and then walked all over the hardwoods. Jerk. At least it wasn't carpet, but still a jerk move.

I need to ask Professor Rhinoarsebreath if he eats gelatin. This may be the root of his problem. He radiates the stench of stetson and <insert animal> anus.

Was he in NYC last evening? I think I smelled him on the subway. Either that or a mouth breather who had eaten an entire bulb of garlic for lunch.

Garlic would be pleasant. Super nice guy, but breath that can peel paint.

Yes he raids your private space. He talks really low, I want to tell him to speak up so he doesn't have to stand so close.

I'll take the rye saison recipes. Love rye and plan on brewing one this summer. That way I don't have to fight the heat. Just let it warm up in my garage, probably 95* most of the summer in there.

We got our pups fixed, and it really helped with that sort of behavior. It's still there, from time to time, but they really calmed down after.

SPCA enforcement van was sitting near my house yesterday for a bit. Hopefully my neighbors didn't call them on me out of spite. Maybe I should clean up the dog crap regularly...

Pensive walk in the rain. Weird text from my brother asking if everything's alright. Only thing to do on such a bad day is to call my grandmother to try and make someone happy, she answers the phone sobbing. Reminds me it's the anniversary we lost my uncle.

    What. A. Day.
    Check please.

Cut off to register and drop off an entry to our local homebrew competition is this Saturday. I have a 6 pk of my saison left. Think it is worth throwing one in for shiggles?

It just seems so serious and my beers are nowhere near the quality of other homebrewers. The entry form has all this extra info to fill out, why can't I just say "it was spoda be a saison"?

They are more on the serious note, but its still ok going into it thinking its still only beer. At the worst, they don't like it and offer you tips or pointers, at the best you win an award before me.

Do I need to fill that **** out or can I just mark it as a saison and let it fly? I've never done this. I didn't put anything crazy in it, I don't think... unless they're asking for type of yeast or something.

    "It's beer."

Or list what grains, hops, and yeast you used.

Or draw a picture of a d!ck or something.

Pic is too small to read, but typically extra info is only required for certain styles (herb/spice/veg beer, meads, etc) where you need to tell them what the base style and/or special ingredient is. Should tell you somewhere if it's required or not.

Too small.. or because I cut it off?

It says the style I placed it in, requires specific type or special ingredients... Isn't **** special about it other than it doesn't suck.

    What style?

Finishing the second pour of this, leftover from last night. Still good.

Ah, BJCP says you have to specify the strength (table, standard, super) and color (pale, dark)

It also defines ranges for SRM and ABV

Ugh, have to do everything for you...

    Vital Statistics: OG: 1.048 – 1.065 (standard)
    IBUs: 20 – 35 FG: 1.002 – 1.008 (standard)
    SRM: 5 – 14 (pale) , 15 – 22 (dark)
    ABV: 3.5 – 5.0% (table)
    5.0 – 7.0% (standard)
    7.0 – 9.5% (super)

I'm guessing yours is a standard pale. Prob what 75% of the entries would be.
