Mornin' ya'all. Coffee after finally getting back off the wagon last night. Left the kids at the grand parents and went to one of the bigger breweries in Stockholm, ... Only to find out they are closed for the next few days.
Damn. Walked 45 min back to where we started and had a few beers.

 

Cafe. Brew day not happening due to a lack of yeast. C'est la vie.

Beans and eggs again.

 

Water, packing up for our 11 hour drive home. Lame...

 

French press. Dreading full work week starting again tomorrow.

 

Coffee. Sticking to my News Resolution to change nothing about myself or my life.

 

Coffee with cream because I hate coffee.

Just did the whole family thing last night. I was served meat on swords until I couldn't eat any more.

On a related, hilarious note, the waitress is going through the tap list and around the table. Seasonal is Tallgrass Vanilla Bean Buffalo sweat... Brother says 'you've brewed that one right?'

'Yeah I gave you a couple on Christmas.'

'That was good, I'll take that.'

Lady goes, 'you brewed this?'

Innocently I said, 'yeah... It was a good recipe, pretty spot on.'

She says, ' oh wow... Well, congrats, it's really good.'

S...M....H

I told my brother never to bring up brewing in public again. Morning all.

Sounds like an epic trip! But why would you leave the Colorado mountains to ski in taos? The only place these guys go around here is alta Utah to ski tittypow. I've only been about 40 times but the vast majority were at vail. Its a gentle mountain but the back bowls are legendary for good reason.

 

I bet.

 

I like hot wing sauce on mine and use the sauce they send for the fries on the side. :rockin:

The realization that I have to go back to work tomorrow has set in. That's ok because we usually take the first week to adjust after being off for 2 weeks.

Coffee. Planning our trip to Des Moines this spring for a friend's wedding. Going to be a kick in the wallet, but probably the only time we'll ever be there.

 

we have inventory tomorrow and Tuesday at work. extra dread for me.

 

I have to fly out to the office Tuesday. That'll be an adjustment alongside having to dress like a grown up.

Prepping for cellar inventory today.

I think I finally figured out a system to easily track what goes out in trades.

Removable labels with bin and bottle numbers, which I will peel off and put on a piece of paper so I remember to remove them from my cellar database on thebeerexchange.

Going be a bitch to upgrade the entire cellar today.

Tired. Rough few days.

 

There are some good beer bars in Des Moines. El Bait shop, royal mile & hessen house to name a few - need to add that into your budget. Also, Fongs pizza is awesome.

Drinking coffee about to climb on the roof to take the lights down. Beer after that.

 

I gave up on that quickly. Have a good mental note what i have. What i forget is a surprise to me and a little treat.
