Ok, so I just got an invite to a Halloween party. I'd like to bring some brew, but I have nothing in the pipeline right now. Anyhow, 2 weeks might be pushing it, but it miiiiight be enough to squeeze out a couple of brews. I do keg, or I wouldn't even think about doing this. I'm a fan of the Paulaner Hefe clone, and that might work. Anyone have other recipes that might squeak by on 2 weeks of time? Thanks!

A mild. Check out Orfy's mild. It's great and will easily be ready in time.

2 weeks isn't enough time to get a mild fermented & cleared & carbed. The problem is that 2nd part -- getting the yeast to flocculate out & getting clear beer in 2 weeks.

I'd recommend going with a hefeweizen because you don't have to worry about that 2nd step -- you want yeasty, cloudy beer for a hefe.

I'm not worried about carbing or clearing, that I know I can do in short order. The mild is a good call, I might roll with that. Anyone try to pull off any sort of pale ale in such a short amount of time? I'm pretty sure I can't get enough sugar in to hold up to an IPA, but if anyone has experience with something along those lines I'd love to hear it.

Gelatin. I've done orfy's in 3 weeks and I bottle. It was fantastic.

The Partial Mash Pale Ale that I got with my newb kit has a short build time and all samples have tasted promising.

2 – 3lb bags of Plain light malt extract
1 – 1lb bag of grains (1/2 lb carapils, dextrine malt, and 1/2 lb Crystal 60L malt)
1 – 1oz bag of warrior hops (recipe listed cascade hops, but kit actually came with warrior)
    1 – safale SO-5 Dry active yeast
    1 – 5 oz package of dextrose

7-10 days to bottling, 7-10 in bottle.
Mine reached target FG in 6 days.
