I just picked up a rubbermaid orange 10 gallon cooler to build my MLT and I'm wondering if I am going to lose efficiency doing 5 gallon batches and also will it be big enough to do 10 gallon batches. I wanted something that would allow me to do both, just wasn't sure on these 2 issues. Thanks for the help!

It will work fine for both 5 and 10 gal batches. I only make 5 gallon batches in my 10 gal mlt.

Ditto. I have noticed no appreciable loss of heat with 5-gallon batches in the 10-gallon MLT. I often use the 5-gallon rubbermaid as a HLT, and the 10-gallon for the MLT. No worries!
