    Kegs arrived - what's that smell

    I must have the wrong job I just dont have all the money you do,to waste on new o-rings if they arnt worn out.... why replace them? No I am not...

    And you are right softwater does taste bad, that is why I flavor mine with beer...

    No problemo.... I have Plasitc pipes so I guess I dont have that problem, When I brew AG out in the shop I use water from my hydrent so it is REAL...

    I brew with the water that comes out of my water softener as well. I have never noticed any bad taste from it.

    Fermentation Problem

    you can use a heating pad under the carboy and wrap a dry towel around it to help keep it warm, its worked for me in the past.

    I think NB forgot to crush my grains..

    But them in a freezer baggy and then use the roller, it works...

    do grains need to be milled???

    You can order them crushed for you. And I dont see how a mortor and pestles would work very well.
