This article discusses a specific variety of hops. For general information about selecting, using or propogating hops, see the main hop page

Marynka hop variety was developed in Polish Institute of Agriculture and is related to Czech Saaz hops. Marynka hops are mostly used as bittering hops, but they are very aromatic too, and because of that they are gaining interest from homebrewers and craft beer artisans in Eastern Europe and throughout the world. Its character is often described as earthy, rooty or liquorice.

Marynka is also used commercially by Heineken, SAB Miller and Carlsberg.
