Category:Session beer styles
From Home Brewing Wiki
A session beer is a beer able to be had in quantity over the course of an evening drinking "session" without getting too drunk. This means a true session beer must have two qualities:
- It must be easy-drinking, which usually means no unusually strong flavors; and
- It must be relatively low in alcohol, certainly under 5% and usually closer to 3.5%.
The alcohol level and drinkability are of course somewhat subjective, so what constitutes a session beer varies from person to person. The styles listed below are those that are generally recognized as "session beers" in their country of origin.
